As I wrote this out, I realized it might be the aceflux talking but 😅 My body still reacts to no-setup porn and I really enjoy it for what it is, but proper setup and chemistry between two characters (even if it's just implied in the right way) is an entirely different beast for me

I read a fic recently where one woman gifts another woman a chess piece as a callback to another (also nonsexual) scene from like 10 chapters prior and there's some coy flirting and eye contact and it was 10000x hotter than the ACTUAL sex scene two different women had a few paragraphs earlier
