Just bought the pixel 9. Last years model but it was only $667 AUD! And I must say even for last years model it's definitely surpassed Apple in both hardware and software. IMO 😁. At some points I was about to convert to Apple for phones, but definitely won't be doing that anymore.

Gave the Google Gemini CLI a task of creating a simple Theme switcher on an Astro website. Couldn't do a pretty basic task. Claude is still winning IMO.

So talking to my friend recently about Kids parties. He's been in that industry in the last year and has seen people pay up to 8k for their kids birthdays 🤮 ... and no, they don't work in large tech companies.
