Egyptian mythology handed this rivalry to me on a silver platter with The Contendings [of Horus and Set].

As for "why," it may have to do with the fact they've tried to kill each other for the divine throne, after Set murdered Horus's father. Too bad they'll have to cooperate in the main storyline.

Set has an /even larger/ and themed collection of 'mons in PKMN Verse as an E4 Rank trainer -- a nod to his multiple animal forms in DEITIES -- but I'll narrow this down to his usual team for league battles and on rotation.

The DEITIES cast each have their own "Divine Weapon." Some are proficient in others, but they all have their favored speciality during combat.

For example, Set's divine weapon is The Was Scepter, which shifts into a bladed polearm. Montu's divine weapon is his Flail, & Sobek's is his spiked cudgel.

Throwback from 4 years ago where I offered to draw some of my friends' OCs as they would appear in #DEITIESProject -- as deities!

I may revisit this again in the future when I have the spoons, but for now I can't thank them enough for letting me borrow their characters and turning them into gods!!

The way the lore works -- loosely, and simplified here -- allows characters from other 'realms' to adapt their forms to the rules of becoming a deity of Duat (lol), themselves.

He's has yellow eyes and blue-grey hair; various scars on his exposed skin (including across his neck); and wears gold, black, and dark-blue regalia. Just a few examples of Case 1 I've drawn of my friends' OCs that were created (omggggg 😭) specifically for DEITIES verse!

I'm a lil' biased but I adore their designs and I love drawing them, they're great examples of how to do it well by following (and sometimes creatively subverting) DEITIES lore.
