My father (84, wheelchair bound after a stroke so can’t shop independently) recently asked me to order a “modern” bread bin that he saw advertised in the Daily Mirror. Reckoned that it would keep bread fresher longer because it had air tight seals. Longevity of bread still a priority.

I like to think of it more that all the “average ones” are gone as there are so many more of those so they pair off easily. Us exceptional ones that are left just find it a bit harder to search each other out 😉
