What in the Titan could possibly go wrong? I have so many questions. Like, why is it in her garage? Won't it just get flattened with the rest of the house? What are the chances she gets sucked far out to sea (assuming it survives a tsunami?) Where is the air source if it's airtight - for 40 days!

I think it's called "bravado"- everyone expresses helpless anger and fear differently.
You're clearly angry and scared too. This is hard to process. It's real, but why is it real? I've seen a lot of posts like OPs, and generally USians say, "we get it and don't take your anger personally."

We are very aware. Probably more so than a significant portion of the US population. As little people with no real power, just everyday Canadians, our only pushback is to use our spending dollars on friends. We don't buy coffee for an entity that threatens to occupy us and remove our sovereignty.

I hate to say it, but illness is more profitable than preventing it. Also, I wonder if the progressively weak public messaging around covid vaccination was nefarious, as well. It seemed to collapse just as anti-vaccs sentiment dominated public spaces.
