The real issue is that Americans voted for this horror show.

AKA The Night Blooming Cereus. In rural South Carolina, I was once dragged from bed at 3 am to see in in bloom. I was 15 and unimpressed at the time. Now, I think I would be more appreciative......

You should look at Thailand and some other Asian locales, you will see plenty of Buddhist violence to enforce priviledge.

Because they are not totally separate, any more than "Christian Nationalism" and "Christians" are totally separate. I know plenty of Christians who are appalled by Christian Nationalism, but that doesn't mean that Christianity doesn't regularly sanction violence.

Then you are paying attention to what is happening in Thailand and other asian countries.

Not true. Buddhists also kill (yeah, I know they have the peace reputation in the West, but it ain't true).

I am not a Trump voter, I am so far to the left that AOC is on my right. But, the reality is Trump won the MAJORITY OF VOTERS. The population that didn't vote just doesn't matter and there is no evidence to support the idea that non voters would have preferred a different outcome.

The sad truth is that a majority of the voters were all for it. Just as a majority of Germans really were fine with Hitler for a long, long time. These dictators didn't put themselves into power, their peoples did.

This has been a HUGE problem with political fundraising for years now. Alienating millions of potential voters is ignored in favor of wringing a few more useless dollars out.

To be fair, the pharma that makes this is already ripping your dad off by charging far more in the US than any other country will tolerate.

They don't even need to actually buy, they can just bet up or down with inside information.

Jesus, what a sanctimonious little asshole you are.

In fairness, EVERYONE was on board that train in the 1980s. Unless you plan to blackball everyone over 50, lighten up.

Bet it will be gone by next year.

I think it is a mistake to attempt to micromanage every moment of childhood. I was more of a free range parent.
April 2, 2025 at 12:38 AM
Sure, if you want to go hang at kid's parties and parent random kids, enjoy! Sane parents don't tag along with their kid to other kid's parties.
April 1, 2025 at 12:31 AM
This is why a sane parent doesn't invite 26 children. The old rule of thumb was 1 kid per year of age. So, for a 6 year old, one invites 6 kids.
April 1, 2025 at 12:29 AM
NO! Parents do not belong at children's birthday parties. If you can't handle a pack of children for 2 hours you are not ready to host birthday parties.
March 30, 2025 at 10:12 PM
What are parents doing there? Ideally, you drop your kid at the party (after coaching them on decent party behavior) and then pick them up 2 hours later.

And yet, US taxpayers funding the NIH pay the highest prices for drugs in the entire world. What a deal for pharma: Take our research and turn into a profit machine to bilk every possible dollar from the desperate and ill.
