Trump and Trump-friendly judges are doing everything they can to prevent that from happening, but I hope like hell we’re able to get them.

Just the leaked part of his Congressional testimony has been explosive. We need to win the midterms and call him for a public hearing.

It’s been several hours since the mass shooting at Brown University.

How is the only description of the suspect, who remains at large, “a male dressed in black?”

There’s cameras practically EVERYWHERE.
I hope this isn’t Uvalde all over again.

I’m sorry you’re going through that. He’s probably feeling embarrassed by everything that’s happening right now - I’ve seen a lot of folks on twitter who are regretting their votes, and I have to think there are millions more out there.

I hope your husband comes around soon!

I’m honestly pretty surprised they haven’t leaked already, but I think if the administration tries to release a sanitized (read: no Trump / Republicans) version of it, we’ll start to see some leaks.

I think Patel is probably first, but Hegseth could take the spot - Trump is getting really sick of the negative coverage for both of them.

Shouldn’t this news about Trump Jr. spend at least a few hours atop the newscycle?

Trump: we’re going to keep America safe. We’re keeping the drugs out!

Also Trump: pardons a guy convicted of trying to bring *hundreds of tons* of cocaine into the US.

I’ve long advocated for the press corps to stand in solidarity and do two things:

1. Follow ups should be directly at him being an asshole and defending their coworkers

2. They should absolutely ignore him and refuse to give him any press other than the fact that he’s an asshole

I’m skeptical on that one. I would love to see it, but it’s going to depend not only on how fast people retire, but how quickly the special elections are scheduled (the rules for that vary by state and are sometimes up to the Governors).

I didn’t see that. That’s incredible.

If a bunch of major retailers joined together to do the same, we could see real, and immediate action on the tariffs.

I think we’ll see charges (pending Trump pardons, obviously), but I don’t think it’s going to be during this administration.

That being said, I do thing Hegseth and Patel are wearing out their welcome with Trump and we’ll likely see some junk drawer (Cabinet) rearrangement soon.

I’ve wondered the same thing, honestly. It can’t help twitter’s standing with investors or advertisers, it reveals a whole bunch of propaganda accounts that are just there to take advantage of ad sharing and meddle in our affairs, etc.

I don’t see ANY benefit for Musk here. I like the change though

We always just MRI people’s hearts for funsies.

I think he almost certainly will. After the midterms he’s going to be handing out pardons like Ronny Jackson hands out opioids.

So, to recap:

Washington Post story breaks on Hegseth.

Pentagon says fake news.

White House confirms the story roughly 12 hours later - and defends it.

Press Sec confirms that Hegseth personally ordered the execution of the two stranded men.

This isn’t going well.

Mamdani definitely benefited the most. MAGA is frothing at the mouth over Trump’s Mamdani praise, and I love it.

I knew he was too much of a coward to actually attack Mamdani to his face, but I wasn’t expecting THAT.

I’m hoping now that the list has been exposed as a Russian wishlist, they’ll have an avenue to do that, yes.

The administration is scrambling trying to figure out how to respond. Now they’re saying it was decidedly on bilaterally, but it was written up by the Russians. Ridiculous.
