And when you're feeling sad
And everywhere you look
You can't believe the things you see
When it all comes down so bad
And beauty lies exhausted in the streets -Nick Cave
I get it now…he was leading people all taking the military oath.

This White House statement about the secret ballroom donors contains a truly bizarre misuse of the word “honor”.

Is there an official Border Patrol uniform? Or can you just freestyle it?

According to Wikipedia,Mellon is also really interested in Amelia Earhart?! Didn’t Trump just promise to release all information about her and everyone was like “um…okay…why?”

Welp… new pictures are out. Looks pretty demolished. 😡

The official government White House tours site has this photo captioned “White House East Wing demolition”

The initial press release from the White House sure seems to plainly state the ballroom will be where the East Wing currently sits. They even insult the East Wing as being kind of irrelevant. Trump’s statements to the press yesterday show he doesn’t think the East Wing is part of the White House!

I'm constantly amazed that the Music app is unable to figure out simple typos or suggest correct spellings. You must know exactly how to spell Ennio Morricone. You must know Patti Smith spells her name with in i not a y. Come on.

I’m with you! If you have priceless jewels…and you don’t notice THIS! Bye bye jewels.

CNN has modified the post but should still have dropped any mention of Portland at the top.

It reads “editors note: This post was updated to add more context”

Flooding the zone with shit is working so well that asking the Supreme Court to end birthright citizenship is the 9th headline down on The NY Times mobile and doesn’t even raise eyebrows anymore.

Thank God for groups like the ACLU who have people on like everything.

I can’t believe “Joe Rogan Weighs In After Days of Silence” is a headline in The NY Times this morning. It’s from their correspondent stationed In Bed On My Phone.

Having said that, I did read the article. 😑

This “you build nothing” bs is the new MAGA thing popping up everywhere. It’s like Romney’s “do you sign the front or back of a paycheck” dialed up to full Nazi.

I’m only aware of Ben Shapiro’s book on it because Ezra Klein talked to him for like 3 HOURS.

I just learned what a groyper is today and now it's suddenly clear that my country is already in a bloody Civil Groyper War, that is so f'n complicated and deeply online that i will never, ever be able to explain this to my relatives at Thanksgiving.

The @nytimes.com article on the Seal Team 6 N Korea mission mentions the failed Yemen mission at the start of Trump’s first term. I clicked through to that piece and found a sentence that clearly shows the importance of DEI in the military and intelligence. No female officer would have missed that…

The name change makes the DC deployment even more absurd.
September 6, 2025 at 10:47 AM
Woke up and read The NY Times article on this and now I’m not sure anymore. It quotes a former senior federal law official (anonymously) who seems to know what they’re talking about and suspects the boat was carrying migrants.

It also mentions how the administration has already lawnmowered people and departments who might oppose military as extrajudicial assassins.

A more in-depth article from earlier this month on the legality of using US military as law enforcement with extrajudicial killing powers.

I can’t even reference this since the Clintons are so good at getting things scrubbed from social media.
