As far as forms of prison abolition go it seems a reasonable one.

Aye, especially TWBB over Magnolia is a poor choice.

2/ I have a Masters essay on Anaxagoras I'd like to send you and I'd hope you'd have the time to read it. I'd also recommend your reading Levels of Argument by Dominic Scott if you haven't.

I suppose my reading of Aristotle insofar as I presently have one is unorthodox but I find retroactive labelling of Aristotle's naturalism as "normative" somewhat ahistorical, it's Latinate term and it's not obvious to me that we can casually apply it to the person we think Aristotle to have been.1/

Claiming this of Aristotle must be contentious at best? Are you actively attempting to publish in journals at present? It’s a scandal we‘re not both salaried academics currently Pete. You moreso, I don’t have the PhD yet. Would you be interested in corresponding by email?

I look forward to reading it; I’ve dipped into bits of your work in the past including the Essay on TR.

I am not familiar. I thought of Phillipa Foot‘s naturalism but that doesn’t have recourse to „normativity“ does it? I see there‘s a paper by a Larry Laudan. How popular is his view?

What is the relationship between survival and life to you? I had the intuition that a disposition to „survive“ is key to understanding precisely what a living thing is. Movement respiration sensitivity growth reproduction excretion nutrition AND survival.

Do you think practical contingency/necessity can be given a formal treatment? Is it modal logic K, S5 etc.?

Our relationship to nature is very simple. We are a part of nature. It is straightforward mereology.

I know you hate OOO Pete but have you never found Morton‘s notion of hyperobject useful? I frequent think about capitalism and „Gestell“ in this way. And isn’t the term metaphysical kludge itself kludge?

Curious sense of naturalism here. Are you familiar with Huw Price‘s distinction between subject- and object- naturalism?
