I live for the day when I see some Japanese chick shoplifting at the supermarket self register while having a loud ass speakerphone conversation about her recent trip to Bali.

I don’t mind Japanese robot society but it’s fun to see people being freely behaved 🤭

Reverse culture shock isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s amusing to see the entitlement, arrogance, and activewear of the customers, but then shop staff are generally friendly and chatty. It’s a nice change from the pervasively stiff formality of Japan.

The flight was uncomfortable. I couldn’t sleep, battled a sinus infection and Qantas food never agrees with me. Why so many beans? How about a salad with a vinegary dressing to cut thru the heaviness of the pasta, instead of washing everything down with a bread.

The roads have changed a lot! All signs lead to Parramatta, I have no idea where I’m going any more and I’m reliably informed that even thinking about looking at my phone is gonna get me a fine so…🫠
