I don't think anyone who needs to hear it will ever read this, but the forest service needs more workers, not less. A lot of the people who got fired (dishonorably, under false pretenses) were helping mitigate the growing fuels crisis. It's not going to make America great, ever, to have it burn down

DEI or not I've always tried to welcome women on my crew and in my division and treat them with respect. It can't be easy being the only woman in a group of 20 boys who are under the influence of severe testosterone poisoning/blue balls

True, which is absurd, since forestry is consistently one of the most male dominated professions in the world, the kind of job that devout chauvinists exhibit as proof of their world view

And don't forget, when all the jobs go away the narrative will be "nobody wants to work"

If we can make it through four years and still have a functioning government (I'm not holding my breath) I am not going to forget how many people support this collective insanity and how quickly the fragile economy can collapse.

Working on lake detection now. I think I'm supposed to use a flood fill algorithm but if anyone has other ideas of how this could be done I'm all ears

Thinking ahead about new features, I would like to make some kind of volcanic island generator, and get more in depth with the prevailing weather pattern like have more rain fall on one aspect than another, therefore generating less grass and vegetation on the lee side, etc.

Wildland fire, housing development policy, defensible space in the interface, water management, land management, fire management, interagency relations including between municipal, state and federal levels, all collide somewhere on the west coast
