I am a collector of worldwide stamps and like to share what I am working on.

An obviously philatelic cover, having been sent from the Philatelic Service, Ministry of Communications, Seoul Korea.
The hibiscus postmark, Kwanghwamun, is a variety that includes a Roman numeral "V" for the month. #southkoreastamps #hibiscus #우표 #philately #definitivelystamps #stampcollecting

This was an eBay purchase. I wanted an example of a 2 sen used on postal card but at the printed matter rate. Normally it should have been 4 sen. Here the Carte Postale is crossed out, essentially re-rating the card as printed matter and still accepted by the postal clerk.

I have been actively seeking out varieties of hibiscus (Rose of Sharon) postmarks on cover for a possible article and/or exhibit I will put together for our local club's show in October. H

I liked this nice example of a Seoul roller cancel dated December 3, 1962. At upper left it states "Christmas Card, Par Avion", sent to an individual in Boston. I haven't done any research to date.

I have started working on the stamps of Finland and started with the Arms of the Republic issue which is an area that is easy to assemble. I have been going through several older collections looking for just this issue. Almost complete.

Additional TKK (Toyo Kisen Kaisha) related items that I have been obtaining are these postcards which were apparently a series all depicting Japanese cultural related images.

My thanks go out to Rene (from The Stamp Forum) for sending me these glassines full of stamps of Peru, a country that I have not focused on lately but will soon. These are much appreciated and I look forward to going through them soon.

The note at upper left, "To. San Francisco Cal. Per SS Coptic." My profile image is of a 1 yen, Tazawa definitive, JSCA 157 with postmark, Persia Maru. Persia Maru is the S.S. Coptic, rechristened for service with Toyo Kisen Kaisha. #definitivelystamps #stampcollecting #philately

Listed as JAPAN Old Koban Hakodate, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Foreign Mail Bota Cxls, I quite like to display interesting bota cancels in my album and then have separate blank quadrille pages for varieties.

These were pickups at our local club auction. Turns out, I only need the one on the right which I knew but the one on the left is marginally better than the one I have in my album so, despite the stain.

I quite like this definitive from the 1960s and found this pair (attached with a sliver of stamp hinge on the back). It was listed as JAPAN 10Y Coil elusive pair Akasaka 赤坂 3.May.1966

I have been trying to work on the offices, China and Korea. These are all offices in Korea. The 5 sen is actually dupe for me but I will probably still hang on to it.

This Japan 1/2 sen sakura, 1872, S MH, fills one of many holes in my collection for the 1872 issues. A bit of damage but the price was right.

I have an interest in the Toyo Kisen Kaisha (Oriental Steamship Company). This pretty piece of ephemera is called a passenger list souvenir card and is from a voyage which took place on October 12, 1909 from San Francisco.

This is one of several covers that I recently purchased related to Toyo Kisen Kaisha. I wanted this one because it is stationary printed with the company logo in the upper left. The addressee, Mr. or Mrs. Troy Shelley, Hood River, Wasco County, Oregon, is somewhat famous in that state.

A couple of recent Japan purchases on eBay are below. The top of row of Sakuras are all fakes and I wasted my money. The bottom 2 sen, old koban, however, has an interesting kiban cancel for the city of Wakayama.

Some recent covers from my mailbox, commercial and philatelic. These are all recent US definitives and a single commemorative that was used on our Kent Philatelic Society newsletter. This will be the start of regular posts I hope.
