I hope CA has a veto override option among the legislature.

I emailed them two weeks ago. Just left some voicemails today as well.

And yet the federal government seems surprised that people think ICE is a gestapo.

And Ted probably won’t do anything about it. He helped get us here.

In late 2023 I wrote to Gov. Newsom to ask him for his commitment to protecting trans rights if the federal government did go red, and not even a generic “we received your message” response. By comparison previous messages I sent about other topics typically get a quick reply.

I like that idea! They need to know that there is plenty of the population that won’t tolerate their capitulation to an illegal order.

I just looked at the weather forecast for Monday and yes, it’s cold, but not that unusually cold for someone who spent most of his adult life in New York. He’s just being weak.

Good on the Dems for (mostly) not caving on this. Hope this is a good sign of the Senate vote not having enough votes to clear the filibuster.

If I ran one of those private colleges I would just remove all the “women” and “men” signs from every bathroom. If no bathroom is designated for a specific gender then no one can be in violation of the law for using it.
