As far as documenting at a higher level including reasons for design decisions and such, no that’s still manual.

I’ve used Claude to document API. It did okay, even called out some considerations that weren’t communicated by the by language level contracts.

The comments did need some editing so it wasn’t “free” but it was a good start.

Sadly it used different API documentation formats in different files…
