With White doing well in back to back 90 min performances does that make you wonder why he wasn’t used to rotate the defense more earlier in season (both cb and rb)? Also with how thin we are in right side of defense who’s next if timber or white need a breather? Norgaard? #arsecastextra

Fair but I don’t think you can play Eze both games so question is would you rather start Ethan tomorrow or away at sunderland

Ethan I think has to start this game if you trust him even a little bit. I would swap him for Eze but think rest of your lineup is what will happen. Eze has played so much last couple of weeks

Think it’s more if he can provide the defensive stability stroud does while being better on the ball. Donkor’s level on the ball is good enough for a high function CM but defensively still is learning

Interesting thing about the “ball carrying fc” component of our active targets is City drifted that direction last year and it hurt the floor of their attack a lot. Ball carrying is the most reliable low block manipulator but w/o compliment of killer pass requires a lot of energy (and rotation)

Hard to have a salary cap that doesn’t come from UEFA when competing with other leagues. But think one day a form of luxury tax that they will sell as redistribution of funds to smaller leagues will happen

Most underrated us jersey. Took me years to source one to buy.

They are slowing drifting to Chelsea directionless levels recruitment wise. Squad also is getting bloated to point it’s hard to imagine the pathway for guys they are spending higher amounts on and how it helps them win. Tzimas transfer I thought was smart, this would be overkill.

Not to say I expect us to be as good a psg squad wise but we only had 2 playable subs in a game of this caliber leg 1. In general even with injuries that’s not enough. And why in summer we have to address it

xG is more of a chance creation stat whereas xGOT shows your quality on the day. Showing xG/xGOT for leg 1, leg 2 and aggregate
PSG 1.63/1.23 1.74/3.56 3.37/4.79
Arsenal 1.16/1.04 2.91/1.86 4.07 / 2.9

Real we smoked on xG basis with PSG honestly within margins of equal and their quality won

In general the squad is short of quality in a couple spots/profiles (not just attack). Some due to poor recruitment and some to bad injury luck. It’s not just more goals needed it’s more quality needed to win micro moments in a game.

The ultimate panic buy if it happens. Hopefully Duran goes to Saudi and villa can stay firm. It’s so short sighted for a team (Arsenal) without the sovereign fund owner money glitch

I hope so too..though Mikel sees things a different way than most of us. We’ve basically used the left 8 as a pressing forward last couple of seasons

Long term Arsenal will need to replace Partey and Jorginho obviously. From what you’ve seen do you think MLS has shown enough to be viewed as a backup 6 eventually in our system? Or he’s found a new home at LB

If las palmas continue their December form after the break you think Moleiro is an option? Athletic has a chance for UCL so I find it hard to think Nico would want to leave

The article says 3 year mls contract but 4 year contract. Does that mean first year is next pro like the tanner deal or is that a typo?

If we are doing 8 teams clearly best format. The 3 week gap for teams that win best of 3 series early is a buzzkill.
