@atpgeo.bsky.social In news you seemed surprized by the size of the refinery in Tatarstan, here's a larger view showing the town 240k inhabitants and the refinery nearby. using google earth tools, you can find out size, 35 sq km.

@atpgeo.bsky.social Just FYI, concerns the Taneko refinery hit in Nizhnekamsk (Tatarstan), where fire erupted after beeing hit. That's the refinery ⤵️ 35 sq km. Damages on one little part only ...

Pure BS ! The base has it's own fuel tanks, some standard over ground, some protected since cold war, still in use. Has also railway line that can fill those tanks with fuel railway cars. Same in Akthubinsk where Google shows a fuel train refueling the base ... Kristal is a facility, not a need ! ⤵️

@atpgeo.bsky.social Hello Jonathan, map you showed in News 2 of today. The south routes thru the Black Sea are not cut today. (1) is still in function with ural or southern gas thru Anapa (Turkstream). (2) is also open with gas from Izobilny near Stavropol via Dhzubga (Bluestream).

Not only old Il-76 can no more be accurately maintained, but their old fleet of A-50 can't be serviced or extended anymore if that facility is destroyed ! That target is hugely more important that the Briansk oil depot.
