"Fantastic Novels" and "Famous Fantastic Mysteries" rock! Just one of the many cool things about the mags -- Mary Gnaedinger reprinted Merritt’s versions of his stories, he hated the editing of some of the originals.

Cops Mike Shepherd and Kristin Sims from "The Brokenwood Mysteries." And it is rural NZ, so I'm enjoying the scenery where I'm confined.

"Astrid et Raphaëlle" - The series can be very traditional and then go off-trail. Sara Mortensen is amazing as Astrid, an autistic detective.
"Murdoch Mysteries" - Steampunk procedural. Many of the stories involve real people from that era.
"NCIS" - Original series and “NCIS: Hawaii” are best.

Read a novel or short story published in the 19th century, a work in the 1930s, a piece of fiction published a few years ago. Do this is any order you want.

Find the connections and where they differ.
