The Girl's hand, upon inspection, is blackened with infection. A bone-saw is placed against her arm to rid her of the necrotic limb. Her expression is vacant. Her other hand is pressed to her chest to show it, too, is wrapped in bloody bandages and has been previously amputated. The Girl stands, both hands amputated in a dress with a bloodstained hem and grimy boots. Her child's knife has been wrapped to the end of her left arm to allow her some form of self defense.
