I got some shade for buying a small apple tree — wife said it’ll take years before I get any apples. But I see it differently. I get to care for it, watch it grow, and be part of its story from the start. Patience grows roots, too.

The roofing company sent Mexican crew my MAGA neighbor's house. He immediately put up an American flag. Seeing the Mexican flag and hearing the Spanish music blaring somehow brings be joy.

Seeing more Monarch butterflies this year than I've seen in the past. I planted dozens of butterfly milkweed plants on my property and I think they're bring them in.
