More lessons in photography in the snow (this time in b/w).

I enjoyed shooting in b/w here as I could overexpose by 2 or more stops to show the brightness of the snow, and still resolve the sparkles in the snowflakes.

Did I have to hike in the dark after taking this photo? Yes. Was I speaking out loud to any bear that was in the vicinity? Also yes.

#epidemics9: how to determine whether measles cases are driven by endemic circulation, or by metapopulation dynamics. TLDR: if transmission is seasonal and observed incidence also seasonal, it’s endemic. If observed incidence is NOT seasonal, more likely to be metapopulation (i.e., imported)
