Here to say (a) I would listen to this bonus at least 5 times but also (b) it’s your story and do what you want (which you do in any case) (complimentary)

Antipodean here, this chart is amazing. Can confirm the TAA-ending version with Wonder Woman as what I remember, but I recall sometimes ‘Father Christmas lost his whiskers’ - maybe that was the one to use in a context where one didn’t want to sing about bosoms

How about …. “David Crosby annoys someone”

“… several rather poor British sex comedies”

In the Led Zep ep you said ‘I will also shortly be doing an episode which will focus very specifically on groupie culture and the way musicians treated groupies’ … a reference to 184?

But: presume this is Bowie, plus The Beatles, Elvis, The Supremes, and … the Kinks? Simon & Garfunkel?

Finally, a multi-part episode on Zenophon Mixmaster and the Purple Blueberries.

Technically 25 mins went by the wayside at episode 3 (Ida Red), but the first LP (one might say) was episode 100 (Love Me Do). I think there’s another step-up in complexity from episode 133 (Eight Miles High, an absolute masterpiece of storytelling)

Also features a quote from some account called deep-depths.bsky.social: ‘They called themselves the WHAT?’

Another favourite line in that episode:

“a film originally titled No. 4 but now better known as Bottoms, which consists of footage of various people’s bottoms while they walk on a treadmill. The purpose of the film, as with many of Ono’s works, was apparently to help bring about world peace.”

I’d not made that link, but now you say it I can hear that style clearly (complimentary)

The ‘Hey Jude’ episode intro is one of my favourites.
“more or less effective technologies have been created to bring about a more minimal-energy state, including alcohol, heroin, and barbituates, but many of these have unwanted side-effects, such as death, which people also tend to want to avoid”

[Looks at Creedence Wiki page] They called themselves the WHAT??
[regrets looking at wiki]

Finishes, appropriately, with the Vanilla Fudge covering a bunch of Led Zeppelin songs. And features the line ‘It’s actually a surprisingly listenable album of its type -- that type being "grandiose follies put together by a producer who thinks he’s making a Statement"’

Cannot believe there will not be fourteen episodes on King Crimson and their collaboration with Smeg and the Heads! Plus two bonus episodes on Smeg’s solo career.
