Figured I can use EVA foam together with the plastic and now I gonna use strips of those instead and another layer of the thin plasticard on top to buff up the shape. The gaps will be filled with putty and sanded down so I got a nice smooth angle around instead of hard 90° corners.

So this is my base idea for the sleeve panel. Gonna build a frame for the display with the overlay above with a bit distance so the single LEDs won't shine through. But this way I can make it that only the buttons I want and the fake LCD display are lit up

Some progress on the headset. the main piece's base shell is done, but I sure still need a fret saw to cut out the smaller openings, the dremel would just destroy it otherwise. This will still be a long way until it looks actually good, but we'll get there somehow

Started to transfer the main headset pieces onto plasticard. Tomorrow I dremel em out (too tired today to wield heavy machinery) I really hope this works out, the original construction plan is meant for EVA foam, so I gonna have to do some slight modifications for a sturdy construction

I had a red/blue toy cam which switched through images that I'm pretty sure were the characters from Dr. Slump.

Tried a bit more of the Ridge Racer HiSpec demo and I'm amazed how they pulled this off on the PSX. I think the only PSX games with even less texture warping are either flat shaded or 2D ;P
