A caregiver, playful curmudgeon, and someone who is pummelled by a universe-sized messy desk syndrome.🤭
Just caught a photo of a sunning local garden spider. They are breathtaking. She did not mind me getting up close. Spiders are one of my favourite organisms. They come a close 2nd to my love of cats. 🐈

🔥In & around Montréal, the hot days do not outnumber the colder days. With that in mind, these extreme humid ones are still difficult for us Winter beings. Today's temps are from 33°C to 36°C (91°F to 97°F). But, the challenge is the humidity which results in temps of 45°C to 46°C (113°F to 115°C).

A conflict between wishing to have a few fresh cherries from our cherry tree and the love that I have for these adorable urban critters. The adorable critters always win me over. Huge suck I am. 😊

A little glimpse of what we can see of tonight’s bright moon. A gentle reminder that it may not be long before several countries will focus on building their research bases on its surface.

🗳️🌱 Dear Canadian and First Nations, Inuit, and Innu friends and passers-by,
Today is the final day to share your voice in our federal election. Please, do vote as your vote may make a difference for those in need. 🌸

We’re currently being pummelled by a snowstorm ❄️❤️ As a Winter being, my whole being is in a state of joy. This “no touchy” sign is from a nearby lake. Mind you, the ice is about 50cm (1’6”) thick. Hibernating turtles are safe. 🍓🐢

Oh? It looks as if I've reached 1k posts on Bluesky. Many of the posts were mostly made up of my noisy mind's bits & bobs. I do wish to celebrate by posting this found adorable image which I hope will encourage a moment away from the difficulties that life is filled with for many good people. 🐥

In case anyone thought that we, the people of Québec, didn’t have an opinion on an unfit individual, a local paper captured our thoughts in a single descriptor. Along with placing so many vulnerable individuals and communities in harm’s way, the added struggles of tariffs will be difficult for many.

"The more things change, the more they stay the same."

This political cartoon was rejected by Washington Post's editorial page editor under the claim of "repetition". That there were articles which addressed the focus of the satirical artwork. The artist resigned.

The artwork is valuable.

Happy Holidays to all the yummy, 😊 oops... to all the wonderful Bluesky'rs! 🎄
May your time on your own, with family, with friends, and/or with a loved pet or two or three be peaceful.

Sometimes, doing silly things is good for our health and for our well-being. A short clipped haircut is the perfect landscape/environment for these adorable dollarstore reindeer antlers and tiny reindeer ears. 🎄Wishing to all a peaceful, safe, & playful month of December.

You have got to be kidding. GameShow network just ran an advert for a Trump coin. Surreal does not quite cover this experience. I am not prepared for what these next 4 years will be filled with. Here in Canada, we’re also on the cusp of a Conservative leader taking the helm. 😢 Sigh.

A gentle note to my American friends and passer-by: Wishing to all a peaceful, safe, and positive voting experience. Here, in Canada, our news stations are focused on the U.S. election. Its outcome plays an important role. 🌸

Life is complicated. I do not understand the phenomenon that is the close presidential race between Harris and Trump. It ought to have been obvious as to who will win. With that said, I do hope that Kamala is given the chance to be president. We may not agree with some of her foreign…

Wishing to all friends and passers-by a wonderful Halloween! I hope that anyone who is out and enjoying this playful evening is safe and having fun. Remember to wear stretchy pants during and after grazing on all of the treats. 🥰

Over the past week, I’ve been staying inside. What’s missed are moments like this chance meeting with an adorable frog while on an evening walk at Parc de la Cité. We may lack a common language for communicating, yet there were a few moments of recognizing each other’s presence. I’m good with that.🥰

Even though I am not looking forward to what is a form of self-torture (e.g., listening to Trump speaking), I do hope to catch tomorrow's presidential hopefuls debating. If wishes could come true, I would wish that Kamala Harris does not get ensnared by Trump's deceptive rhetoric. ☠️

There’s a delicate balance between local wildlife. As like with the pace of those who win hotdog eating contests and moments after we fill our feeders, sparrows are as powerful as Dyson vacuums. Just below, a squirrel is benefiting from a sparrow’s nibbling imperfections. Many uneaten seeds fall. 😋

CrowdStrike?
As the nuisance that this security software's worldwide malfunction is, it may lead to a greater number of people placing their tech to the side for a few moments, so as to spend time with friends outdoors. I'm directing this to myself as I've been cocooning far to much as of late.

As a gentle confession: Yesterday, I did feel the pangs of worry while reading up on near earth asteroids. ☄️

Life. 🌸
Finite and breathtaking. It’s sounds, it’s scents, the way it feels when touched, and its ability(ies) to place us in a state of wonder and awe, just to name a few thingies, are what life presses upon us.

A little glimpse of our messy flowerbeds.

While patiently waiting for the jury's verdict, my family & I, who are all outside observers, are heartened by the jury's guilty verdict on 34 charges.
⚖️🌸
Now, we wait to see how our neighbouring country's justice system will proceed. Hopefully, Trump will be in orange by the end of today/tomorrow.

Phew. 🍄
After adding this adorable faux metal mushroom thingy next to our flowers, our little neck of the woods is currently being pummelled by wind and a heavy rainfall.

Today’s editorial cartoon in a local paper captures my numerous sides. Internal tugs of war. Boris, aka Jacques Goldstyn, is one of two editorial/political cartoonists of the Montreal Gazette. Thank goodness for cartoonists/artists of all ilk. 🎨🎭
