I get the math, but I hate it all the same.

Asking a little jokingly, but if we’re already closing the gap as well as we are, why is a new (versus expanded SJP) as needed?

Much more blame to go around, but Dubravka’s awful ball down the line to turn it over when he had multiple safe options is infuriating.

Struggling to make sense of this unless PSR is worse than thought or they have something else in the works.

Well, I think it’s unclear who filed the takedown. But no problem!

I keep an eye on the old place, where the original account is shutting down. I know. It’s a shame. This account probably had innocent intentions, but it’s not the same person running and that’s sad.

Commentator is having a mare swearing Adibo’s boot doesn’t make contact. Man needs his eyes checked

It’s not the same guy as from Twitter. This account ripped the original guy’s idea and then when that guy started an account here they shut it down for impersonation.

Although I have to say I hate the American style bowl trend in stadium architecture and much prefer the traditional four sides, incongruous stands of traditional stadiums.

Ian - nice read. I’m generally opposed to leaving SJP. But your last point may mollify many like me: a new stadium on the site of SJP. As you point out, SJP has evolved over the years. A “new” stadium on the same site feels like it could be more of the same - evolution of the existing site.

I think I saw you’re WFH. I’m not, but 9 times out of 10 if I’m wearing a collared shirt at work it’s because I choose to, not because I must. Add in that most of the less expensive OCBDs I bought years ago in college are still holding up/comfortably worn in … $200 on an OCBD is tough.

Good point, and one Derek touched on. BB encountered some of it’s financial difficulties when the high price, long term leases started biting

And then of course, as you point out, people want the fast fashion benefits of many options being rotated frequently, as opposed to a smaller set of options worn over and over again.

Which I think is where the trend away from dressier to casual clothing comes in. Why spend more on clothes you aren’t wearing that often? You can buy a few options for way less and wear them occasionally. If they wear out quickly oh well, you aren’t wearing them that often anyways. Rinse & repeat.

Seems like the answer is, as you write below, that consumers want cheap clothes. Barring a reversal in consumer preferences for cheap (and casual style) clothing, the decline in MiA classics will continue.

Cheers for putting this together, Kev. Making the re-creation of my NUFC follow list much easier 😂
