I popped over one Saturday night when I found myself at Westfield. There was nothing going on in any of the BBC bits. No one in any of the flats that I could see and no atmosphere whatsoever. Very depressing indeed.

The theme for the pilot of Yes Minister is utterly bizarre. As is Only Fools and Horses (although that one *might* have been used for all of series one … I can’t remember …)

BBC World also used this to distribute details of commercial breaks to partner broadcasters, although the display was configured slightly differently. There was a separate one to display the schedule for South East Asia opt-outs, which was still fairly complex until the early 2000s

The sound is the Radio 3 stereo mix nowadays and I believe has been for some years. They opted for 25psf with 1/25 shutter (according to @stephen-neal.bsky.social ) for some reason this year. I must admit it didn’t seem as noticeable on the Last Night, but the first one I watched looked really odd.

The glass walkway between those buildings was “The Bridge Lounge”. It connected the buildings of the main and restaurant blocks. It ended up being a training room. The building at the very bottom of the restaurant block next to the roadway ended up as TC9 for CBBC.
