My husband and I attended a rally at the Springfield, Illinois office of Sen. Dick Durbin, urging him to do everything in his power to make this madness stop. The best spontaneous chant at the rally was: "WHAT. THE. HELL? WHAT. THE. HELL? WHAT. THE. HELL?" That seems to cover all the issues.

My painting is nothing like the painting in the tutorial. The original is soft, calming. Very beautiful, peaceful. But right now, I'm not calm or at peace. I worry daily about what is going to happen to America come January 20. My fears and trepidations can't help but manifest themselves in my art.

Piggdogg and Candy Man have finally experienced their first snowfall. They've always been indoor yard art. (The rooster has spent his whole life outdoors, so snow is nothing new to him.) Candy Man seems to like to eat snow.

Our home for the last 31 years now belongs to someone else. I miss the place where we raised three wonderful sons, but the house and the 1/3 acre of land just got to be too much for my husband and me to care for. The good news is that the house is now in the hands of a wonderful family. #home

Fusing glass is NOT like riding a bicycle. You can't just pick it up again after months of not doing it and expect outstanding results. At least, I can't. But I still like this colorful bowl which I made from scrap glass. #fusedglass

I got my new workbench set up, then got to work creating the first Glassterpiece in our new home. It will go in the kiln tomorrow morning. It will eventually be a bowl. It felt so good getting back to the glass after 3 months.
