If you want to be a better writer, then read.

You want to be a better director, then watch movies.

You want to be a better AP producer? Then watch and listen to other APs. Not as a job, but as experiencing art as art is intended.

Money just complicates things.

So there's a point to "winning" the game in that the civilization you're playing will have the largest/most popular settlement on the continent for the campaign. But really the point is to just try to make the most interesting world you can with each other while having fun!

... wants to get with their history.
At the end of the game the points will be added up and the largest settlement of the civilization with the most total points will be the "heart" of the continent. This settlement will be akin to Waterdeep, Absolom, NYC, Tokyo, etc of the world...

So players can run a cutthroat game which will make for a world filled with many wars and disputes, or they can run a game without much sabotage which will make wars and conflicts less prevalent in the history of the world. Each turn will represent 50-100 years depending on how granular the table...

To your question, yes! lol

It's meant to be a tool that will allow tables to build a world collaboratively to run a campaign in. But it also gamifies the process, turning it into a (hopefully) fun game itself.

He's got two light colored cats and a light colored couch, it was a deception. DECEPTION!!
I'm bringing a tarp next time to make a point lol

It was so bad 😭
Going to have to have a serious conversation with my friend about why it's important to regularly vacuum and/or lint roll your couch if you are a cat owner lol

It's coming along really well, and next step is hashing out the details of the civilization roles players will get to pick from and play during the game. So each table will pick a different combination of civilizations to exist in their world making each world unique to that group! It's been fun!

Each face card has different rules allowing you to do different things on the map such as improve an existing settlement, expand your borders of influence, sabotage another player's civilization, etc. With the queens allowing you to choose any of the other cards powers because we support matriarchy

Numbered cards denote a settlement that you place on the hexmap. The larger the number the larger the settlement ranging from the smallest (ace) and the largest (ten). While the face cards represent notable figures or people of note in the history of the world you're building together.

So players draw regular playing cards and the four suits fall into various categories. Spades for Agriculture/Industry or Economy, Hearts for Art/Culture or Entertainment, Diamonds for Academia/Magic or Theocracy, and Clubs for Military/Fortifications or Engineering.
