This week marks one year since The Marvelous Midge Maisel joined the household. It’s been a year of many vet visits and much laughter.

I didn’t know I needed a very opinionated but unfailingly sweet bulldog to make my life complete, and now I simply can’t imagine life without her.

Needed a little somethin’-somethin’ to go with my vintage Smokey the Bear tchotchkes.

Found a crafter on Etsy who makes national parks stuff. Since I quite literally live beside this one, I thought the sign would be a good addition.

The Smokeys approve.

.C.J. Cregg is one of the best female characters ever written. Whip-smart, witty AF, confident but awkward, and played to perfection.

Didn’t catch this when it originally aired, but oh! What a delightful binge!

The single biggest perk of my career in animal welfare may very well be (and I’m not being hyperbolic here) access to the grooming facilities for my own dogs.

Midge’s stanky self gets plopped in the tub at work routinely. Ten minutes and we’re done, including cleanup. It’s bliss.

A perfect night to be snug and warm and watching Netflix. ☔️
