this is the only thing i can't believe with Howe - this whole change to a a possession based game. we've bought exactly the same players as already here/just gone to play the system he plays now.

The irony is that Howe is an excellent coach who tends to solve most issues over time. that's what he should be doing, coaching-not anything else.

again though, i'll get pelters because any criticism of Howe is met by a massive amount of fans as "you want him fired". i just want the club ran well

even then - local press (the athletic) reported that Howe was involved in the recruitment of the new DoF. so again i ask, who's actually in charge? if it's Eddie Howe just get rid of the scouting and DoF and let him tell everyone who to scout and sign. it's cheaper ultimately.

i won't be slating him. i'll be slating Andy Howe and the board for allowing the manager to employ a clearly clueless chancer who's only qualification is being a nephew.

just my personal take.

i don't want him to go, but i do want someone to pull him aside and get the obvious issues with the team sorted. players aren't dropped for bad form, we still use the same tactics that aren't working.

was about to post something like that. the majority of our fans seem to have gone full on 'cult of the manager' and have lost any semblance of thinking and accepting criticism. i'd go further - it is a cult.

wish ppeople would stop with the whole "you're critical of Howe, you want a new manager" stuff. it's right to ask questions when stuff goes right and wrong.

not enough of Howe's family in positions of authority.

why is "criticism of Howe means that he must be sacked"?
he's been granted nearly £250million of players this season - surely we should ask why things have gotten worse?

months of me saying that barely anyone wants him to go. my issue is that painting a lot of this as "he's in a difficult place and none of it is his fault" lacks nuance. he's been given most of what he wanted - almost total control of the club, scouting and hiring. if it goes wrong, who answers?
