If I need to develop an intuition as to when these tools are fallible then they're not especially valuable, as that requires that I already know enough about the topic and be invested enough in the details to catch mistakes.

What a silly thing to have written.
The idea that there's one particular way to do something and that anyone who differs or deviates is somehow stupid or wrong is profoundly stupid and counterproductive.
