@declanisbig.bsky.social
A big who likes playing games and knows too much lore from said games.
I asked Leamon Tuttle about the timeline back in 2018 around Elsweyr's release and felt like I'd opened a Pandora's Box of wildly conflicted feeling since then.

I'm glad they're finally allowing the timeline to move forward.

That banner looks significantly more grey to me than blue. The lighting there and in other shots you can see them doesn't help.

I would also question that if they were going to make them blue again, why they wouldn't use a brighter shade of blue. I'm like 98% sure it's grey because of that.

I would be all for that, but only if the Alliance and Horde were still effectively the most major players in the world.

My only issue with the factions as they are now is the Horde Council has done nothing of note whatsoever and we've objectively focused more on Alliance figures over Horde ones.

However, I could see a future WoW where the Alliance and Horde still exist, but instead of just being part of one or the other, you can choose from a bunch of smaller factions in the world, kind of like they were originally planning back before the game came out.

I think the major factions are so central to Warcraft's identity that no matter what they did to effectively delete or remove them from the game would result in a mass exodus, no matter how well handled it actually is.

The Violet Spellwing is the single mount in the entire game that I regret not taking the time to get back when I could, and I've wanted it to return for ages, but it's definitely odd that it's allowed to come back, but the mage tower appearances aren't. It's just very arbitrary.

I'm putting together an elementalist build for my DK and tbh it's already pretty sweet just with storm calling added

I don't agree so much with the use of the word "shallow" to describe it, but the actual point is right on the money.

Hopefully they add in an option to use the old UI. If not I'm sure an addon will end up being made for it.

I like the gold trim with the ability bar, but that's kinda it. The blocky, cube style feels like it's taking up a lot of space, which wasn't a problem before because the backgrounds faded out.

Sadly, Greymoor is the last chapter I bought outright (I am so far behind and just now getting back into the game)

Made a new set for my Mage not too long ago.

I don't disagree. Despite what I may have implied I do also think the political slop is annoying and tiresome.

That being said, Twitter sucks hard for plenty more reasons than the two I gave, and Bluesky by comparison is still much better.

Personally I'll take political ragebait slop I can opt to not see at all by just staying on the "Following" feed tab than the sewer-slurry of blue checkmark bots and self-aggrandizing right-wing garbage that plagues the other site like the diseased fleas feeding upon rats back in the mid 1300s.

I truly think the problem, while present, is overblown. My prime evidence for this is how there are even people acting like it makes the game pay to win, as if having better hardware isn't an objective advantage to gameplay in the first place.

At most it could have a more negative impact in very high ranked matches. I'm not trying to downplay the fact it very much is a problem that needs to be resolved, I just sincerely doubt the actual impact it has on actual gameplay.
