I'd say it is. There are 13 episodes, and they are 24 minutes each, I think. You can blast through it in one evening.

It came out around a year or two after Shenmue 3.

The anime covers the story of Shenmue 1 and 2 and includes some elements from 3 as well.

Unfortunately, Season 2 was cancelled because of the Warner Bros shit, Season 1 actually did very well.

If you aren't interested in the gameplay of 1 and 2, at least go watch Shenmue The Animation. I've watched up to Episode 5, which wraps up Shenmue 1's events, and I was super engaged.

It's classic SEGA charm, the peak of that you might say. I've finished 1, and I found it so cosy and lovely, and 2 so far seems way more ambitious story wise.
