You know me and Baldry both did theatre at Greenhead and my class focused heavily on Stanislavski whereas his did Brecht.

Might explain something.

First live show i ever went to had Spike vs Harley at the parish in Huds. Absolutely sold David vs Goliath. I know its still one of Jess's main arguments for wanting more inter gender matches.

Yeah I read and adored Waugh's vile bodies this year, that novel absolutely skewers the upper class in a way only an insider could.

One of the parts of the road to wigan pier which stuck me with the most is Orwells description of going down the pits to see the work. It sounds like a nightmare and to think of doing ot every day is even worse.

Also I suppose it's the films that push them into the stratosphere, I've met multiple people who say they are big fans but have never read the books. (No judgement on not reading the books, judgement on still being huge fans)

I really liked that book in primary school but I don't know what happened to my copy.

Mind even if HP was a great piece of art its in no way worth keeping around.

Always found it oddity so important to many my age when it's just one of a dozen other series I read and doesn't stand out.

I'd agree with Hellblazer and promethea as the obvious choices.

For things I havnt seen recommendedI'd say Hickman/ Cokers black monday murders is fantastic which uses the occult to talk about financial systems.

Zatanna bring down the house by Tamaki and Rodeiguez is a fun time.
