The US's democracy is crap, but it's still a democracy. It's possible through that flawed democratic process to fix it eventually. It just requires a lot more Bernies.

But once you become a fascist state, you're stuck. You need to lose a war to get back the rights you so happily let slip away.

I think it's clear - poor education levels in the US.

One party stood for democracy, and the other stood for fascism. Any educated voter should have voted for democracy no matter what.

I don't know, but with the Republicans in power, "our turn" is going to come much faster. The damage they are doing to the US was telegraphed. We knew what they would do, and yet it still wasn't enough of a reason for people to vote Democrat.

I remember people doing both of those things. But let's be honest here, people are fucking exhausted in the US. I'm not surprised those working 3 jobs to make ends meet aren't spending their free time protesting.

Harris is pro-choice and pro-democracy. The two parties are not the same.

Of course people cared, but it was clear that the Democrats were the lesser of 2 evils on this issue.

Let's not pretend that this was the only issue either. There were many domestic reasons to vote for Harris over Trump: women's rights and democracy to name a couple.

It is absolutely exhausting seeing Trump, Vance, Musk and the rest of the MAGA movement attack democracy more and more each day.

As far as I understand it, for most of humanity sex was just instinctual. We didn't teach people about concepts like consent or STDs.

I can understand the argument that this book is inappropriate for certain ages, but surely some of this education needs to be available before people start having sex. Let's pretend that people don't have sex until they are 18, surely you'd want them to be educated before that point? To protect them
