yeah, that's been my experience too! ive just been feeling more present in the world, more connection to my emotions, more desire to just be ever since i started

like, implicit biases and such, encoded in the dataset can still be incredibly fucked up. i am not sure what method is used, but the language of the abstract seems to suggest a neural network, which would be rather nontransparent.

i feel very conflicted about this (i would be inclined to say it would be impossible to do well, but i am not sure), but i do want to clarify:
the original author is arguing against llms/chatbots; rather, they are arguing for a qualifier. they argue against a generative model for similar reasons
