Churches aren't the problem. Pedophiles are attracted to positions of power anywhere they can have ready access to children: Churches, education, children's organizations, etc. Safeguards must be built into them to keep kids safe.

It's the great falling away that St. Paul foretold in 2 Thess. 2:1-12. In a nation that had 2 major Great Awakenings, this is sad, sad time.
