Also when you consider that parsing “Neanderthal features” in people has strong roots in eugenics, the fact that their main defender has an antisemetic dogwhistle in their twitter bio paints a very ugly picture.

For the record, one of these is my final year master's research project with scholarly citations included. The other is the newest antishipping essay accusing haladriel shippers of supporting violence against women. Which one? You decide!

“You should really stop smoking,” Mairon said. Arien whirled around. “Maybe I would if you’d stop destroying my nerves!” Aulë leaned on the counter. “Did everything go alright?” Arien blew out a puff of smoke. “Cops spotted us. Mairon drove over that half-rotted bridge out by Jacob’s Creek. Thought I wouldn’t make it to my wedding for a second.” She shot a glare towards Mairon. Mairon said, “I lost them. I made sure of it, they didn’t follow us here.” Aulë muttered, half to himself, “Need to move that still.” He gestured towards the barrel. “Shall we see if it’s any good?”
