Having got very grumpy earlier today, when someone told me “it’s Christmas” and I replied (not very graciously 😬) “it’s not even advent yet” .. I’ve spent the afternoon working on a series of needle-felt icons on the theme of The Holy Innocents, inspired by Kelly Latimore’s icons.

Monday late afternoon walk.

I think this lonely swan may have lost his mate (who was looking very under the weather last week) … he looks so lost.

Late afternoon walks here are the best, the autumn evening light is stunning. We’re fortunate to live in a beautiful place and at this time of year it is at its best (imho!) #norfolkbroads #westsomerton

2/2 The Impossible Fortune the most recent in Richard Osman’s Thursday Murder Club series, laugh out loud funny, like spending time with old friends whose world you share and understand. Served as a reminder of all we have in common, the dynamics of family and friendship that we all experience.

Rainy holiday reading.

Murder at the Black Cat Cafe, originally published in 1947 and translated into English this year. The book contains two short stories, murder mysteries solved by detective Kosuke Kindaichi. Beautifully written with plenty of plot twists - gripping story telling!

8 years since being ordained deacon, grateful that this ministry is at the heart of all that follows.

Today I had an early start visiting a parishioner in hospital, the secret, hidden ministry of being a deacon continues and my heart is full.

The quickest of visits to London to attend Mary’s ordination at Southwark Cathedral.

We first met in May 2019 at St Andrews Anglican Church in Moscow when I took a group to Moscow. What an extraordinary journey it’s been - such joy and lots of tears today! #NewRevs
