The brining went well. The cooking is much more stressful as the oven door has decided not to shut. Thankfully my son is an engineer and had a “solution”. Merry Christmas Nigella 🎄

So far the emergency hockey stick continues to save the Christmas dinner. Although I am far too untrusting to stray further than door kicking range.

I asked my son to use his engineering degree to help mend the oven enough to keep the door shut….. glad his course is finally proving useful 🙄

It isn’t going on over there. I moved here just for this. 🙂

Seems nice. Think I will stay (quite like my temporary bedspace too)
