In France during the 1920s and 1930s, this concept was pushed further through the innovative multisport race named Le Championnat des Débrouillards. Athletes competed in consecutive events of running, cycling, swimming, and obstacle racing, proving that mental agility is just as vital as physical.

This very concept shaped Coubertin's introduction of the Modern Pentathlon as part of the Olympic program in 1912, a sport designed to test versatility across five unique challenges.

The Zouaves coined the term débrouillard to describe a way of life, always finding a way no matter the challenge. Immortalized with this famous statue in Paris on the Seine, their spirit also lives on in everything we create.
