There was barely any family in Hungary who didn't fear retribution either because their family fought in WWII as an axis soldier and/or also in the uprising. Austria was also no issue as only the reliable could live in the exclusion zone receiving ORF

School education on History ended with the glorious liberation by the red army in 1945 ,and after that there was just perpetual peace with the Soviet union.
