Tonight I called my electeds re: the gutting of the IMLS, the only source of Federal funding for the US's 125,000 libraries.
We need ALL the things these amoral elitists are smashing. I just happen to know at a deeply personal level how much our communities need their libraries.

With my demolished health, my life is characterized by an overwhelming feeling of helplessness right now. Today's pushing back for sanity included making donations to the ACLU, the HRC, the National Center for Lesbian Rights, and GLAD Law (GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders).
