My dad was always a member of a library. He always took me with him and I had my own ticket from about the age of 8. I couldn't until I was 12 so I could have an adult ticket.

My dad was an avid reader and we both read similar books. The only ones he said I wouldnt like were westerns, I gathered it was the violence against women. I don't know, to this day I've never read one.
