100 yrs ago today in Trinidad, Co, my mother Clemetis Simmons was born. She grew up picking cotton alongside her brothers and finished life as an artist on the Wa. coast. She was tough, loving, and a safe haven for those in need. She had zero tolerance for discrimination. I'm celebrating her today.
