Authors are always ahead of the curve. My Name is Iris by Brando Skyhorse is "speculative dystopian" fiction about birthright citizenship, identity, racism. Published 2 years ago, and flew under the radar, but now it's become reality. Recommended reading.

Growing up, most things were considered luxuries, but my mother never said no to books. She always understood their magic. Happy Mother's Day, #BookSky 📚💙
A grainy black and white photo of my mother reading to me, both of us in a rocking chair, when I was three or four years old. The book was probably one in the Mr. Men series by Roger Hargreaves - favorites of mine that I later read to my own son.
