Watched the new Frankenstein last night (SUBLIME) so now I guess I have to commit to seeing all of Jacob Elordi's filmography, didn't realize he was such a snack! And Mia Goth off the charts gorgeous as usual. Bravo to set and wardrobe. Best of 2025 for me.✌️🖤👹🎥

The pulled pork sammich is the move...we stop any time we see one on the road. (And I once made a specialist doc appt for the spouse specifically because it was near a Buc-ee's, but that's our little secret.)

Nothing takes me out of a movie more quickly than really bad tattoos. Like, super bad. Apropos of absolutely nothing, currently watching Vicious (2025)

Anyone who knows me knows that Diane Keaton in Annie Hall was my entire personality from 1977 thru my first couple years in college. I was the one in my Grandpa's necktie & fedora wearing L. L. Bean duck boots (Louisiana!) I'll never forget you, Diane. 💔💔

Sooo looking forward to this premiere next Tuesday; as a person who loved Ethan Hawke back in the day (Reality Bites, Search & Destroy, etc.) I am LOVING his newer roles. And Reservation Dogs was exceptional (Ethan in that too!), very excited for this.

Movies in theaters near ATX are prohibitively expensive, so I only go if it's something I really want to see. When I logged today on to check times for Weapons/Naked Gun, I found out (HAPPILY) they've reduced ticket prices by almost $10.00 each. So here's me, going to 2 movies in 2 weekends!! ✌️🖤🎥

Super bummed I watched the last episode of S1 - True Detective last night, but then I read the BBC adaptation of Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell is free on Tubi! Pretty much the best book to series I've seen that was NOT done by Mike Flanagan. Eddie Marsan is spectacular as Mr. Norrell.

I'm on this roll of re-watching some favorite series from around 10ish years ago, and realized I've been watching them in sequential year order, which makes my numbernerd heart happy. Watched Hannibal (2013), now watching True Detective S1 (2014) and next on my list is Mr. Robot (2015) All so good!

1/2 My little PSA: Had a small (TINY) growth on my shoulder, but started to hurt; within a week I was at my dermatologist, getting it removed. 5 days later found out it was a carcinoma and yesterday had a chonk taken out to make sure they got it all.

Finally saw Sinners last night; a lot has been said about this movie, but the true moral center of it was Wunmi Mosaku as Annie. Growing up in rural Louisiana, I knew many women like her who were the heart & moral centers of their communities and her character touched my heart in a special way. 🖤🖤
