A tea toned Cyanotype of a curlew - the print of the curlew is dark brown & it is overplayed into a fine, cream coloured paper. A close of up a curlew - the print is a tea toned Cyanotype and the curlew is a light brown and cream colour and the background is a dark brown.

I like to make mini prints of my work - here are a few samples of cyanotypes & some silver gelatin prints. I then make small photo albums or box them. I love small prints 💙🖤

I started this project a while ago & then events in life put it on the back burner. I’m hoping to pick it up again soon.

I always start a body of work with a lot of experimenting with printing, papers & processes and put them into a scrapbook. These are tea toned Cyanotypes on Japanese paper.
A book containing tea toned Cyanotypes. The prints are of jackdaws, starlings, crows and a snow landscape- the colours are black and a cream/light brown.

A couple of new portraits for my Horse series - slightly gentler than others.

A few cyanotype prints from my Jackdaw series. 💙

A series of cyanotype prints with Jackdaws - the first and last image are text. The Jackdaw series was made in response to my grief for the death of my alcoholic father. The first words printed above where said by him when I first asked him to stop drinking (he had just been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver) and the last words where his final words as he lay dying in hospital. This series is dedicated to him and others living or suffering addiction - there is beauty if you look out of the window - it is sometimes hard to find, but it is there.

Today has been about preparing for winter - chimney swept, oven serviced & wood delivered. Only a couple swallows left, but I saw two barn owls in my barn & a heron on my walk.

So that is my daughter moved out for her final year at university - time passes and that strange feeling you have pervades.
