Ours got kicked out of an emergency vet once. Like, "this appointment is over now". (She is going strong at nearly 22yo.) We felt like our kid had flunked second grade. Then we asked our regular vet and she was like "yeah, we have her down as pretty spicy in her chart. She is a calico, after all."

I've had that exact problem. It's so frustrating! You run all night for nothing. You'll get one!
