Just got off a long flight to find out this sad news. She was such an inspiration. For me she lit a flame in me to see children as rich and competent and as subjects with rights, citizens of now and not just their future. I’m heart broken but thankful for her wisdom, kindness and thinking.

Curricula as experiential!
>> We need to stop organising school curricula as meeting yearly expectations and think about curricula as experiential - necessary & important developmental experiences.
Our assessment driven curriculum does children no favours. It never has and never will.

I am hoping that I might get some help spreading the word about my 2nd year student’s MA research project on physical environments that engender creativity. Please share with anyone who you think might be interested. Many thanks!🙏

Transitioning to here from ‘that’ other place and keen to link and connect with others in ECE to learn, think and work together. All things early years but fascinated with the power of the arts, creativity and pedagogies which support participation, listening and thinking through materials.
