This is an excellent briefing paper on the junk science and shoddy statistics used in the Lucy Letby case. It is written by 18 experts, some of whom have not spoken out before. The paper was first published on 1 May 2025. www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/bxrjy...

Dewi Evans CHOSE the other "experts" to rubber stamp his work. They reviewed his reports rather than conducting blind peer reviews. Evans' reports contradicted the post mortem findings, the RCPCH review and Jane Hawdon's reviews, none of which found any evidence of foul play.

She did not confess to being a serial killer. She also wrote down words like "slander, discrimination and victimisation" and "I haven't done anything wrong". Here's a good "translation" of one of the notes.

From today's Mail a bombshell story from
@johnsweeneyroar.bsky.social about Dr B, one of the "Gang of Four" accusers in the Lucy Letby case. We now learn she accidentally killed a baby. This crucial evidence was withheld from the jury and also from the Thirlwall Inquiry. #LucyLetby

A thoughtful book chapter by Susan Ayres on the subject of infanticide in the US. She discusses the issues relating to the use of genetic genealogy in infanticide cases and suggests that criminal justice reforms are needed to enact infanticide laws. papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers....

I tend to be wary of any matches sharing less than about 15 cM. You can sometimes find a genealogical connection but the DNA can't be used as evidence of that connection. I've always found this chart from AncestryDNA useful when interpreting DNA matches. www.ancestry.com/cs/dna-help/...
